While thinking about recent events or news in relation to my topic, I thought of the resurgence of anti-Asian sentiment sprouted by COVID-19. I think the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic and it's social repercussions is a significant factor to discuss in my project. This source does a good job of providing a detailed background of COVID-19’s impact on the United States and the rest of the world and will provide insight about the xenophobic and racist behavior that this pandemic emerged into society. It also discussed the importance of Stop AAPI Hate within this timeline, which I will be using as a source of history and background.
